Jannik Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, to win his maiden Shanghai Masters title. This victory was special as it not only earned Sinner his fourth ATP Masters 1000 title but also made him the youngest player to win the Shanghai Masters and the first Italian to claim the title. The match, which lasted 1 hour 37 minutes, was played in front of a full house and saw Roger Federer and Carlos Alcaraz in attendance.

Djokovic Denied 100th Title

Djokovic, who was aiming for his 100th career title, was denied by Sinner's brilliant all-around play. The first set, which was a tight affair, went to the tiebreak. Djokovic, known for his incredible record in tiebreaks, could not adapt to Sinner’s hitting, losing 7-4. The second set was much more comfortable for Sinner as he broke Djokovic early in the fourth game of the second set and eventually served out the game.
